An autopsy performed on Naya Rivera's body concluded that the "Glee" actress had died as a result of an "accidental drowning".
It would have taken five days for rescuers to find Naya Rivera's body. The former "Glee" actress disappeared Wednesday, July 8, during a boat trip with her 4-year-old son, Josey, on Lake Piru in California.
The 33-year-old's body was finally recovered on Monday and according to the autopsy carried out, her death was due to "an accidental drowning", reported the medical examiner of Ventura County, near Los Angeles. "No injuries or illnesses were identified during the autopsy," the text adds, adding that drugs or alcohol did not "play a role" in his death.
